Job summary

MissionHires is seeking a seasoned Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development, optimization, prototyping, and validation of multilevel converter technologies for renewable energy, grid infrastructure, and high-voltage applications.

You will collaborate with controls, mechanical, and test teams to ensure compliant, high-performance solutions and mentor junior engineers throughout project milestones.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional power electronics design experience, focusing on multilevel converter topologies and high-voltage systems.
• Experience with designing multilevel converters (MMC/CHB) and wide-bandgap devices.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and SPICE-based tools for design and analysis.
• Hands-on hardware prototyping, testing, and validation in lab environments.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC, thermal management, and fault protection.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-power converter topologies, including multilevel circuits, with suitable switching devices.
• Optimize converter designs for efficiency, harmonic performance, high-voltage operation, reliability, and scalability.
• Lead hands-on prototyping, hardware assembly, lab testing, and field validation activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders and partners.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning and milestones.
