Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Experience with multilevel converter topologies and high-power systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and SPICE-based tools; hands-on hardware prototyping.
  • Solid understanding of thermal management and power loss calculations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (<25%).

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop converter topologies, including multilevel circuits and switching devices.
  • Prototype hardware, assemble components, and troubleshoot in lab and field environments.
  • Simulate and model performance, thermal behavior, and EMI/EMC using MATLAB/Simulink, LTSpice, or PLECS.
  • Collaborate with controls, mechanical, and test engineers to integrate power electronics into larger systems.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, and UL standards.
  • Lead hardware integration and prototyping projects from concept to validation.
  • Document designs, results, and present findings to stakeholders.
