Job summary

Wright Electric is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design and implement power converters for electric motor drives and microgrid applications.

You will design, develop, and test low and medium voltage converters, work with wide bandgap devices, and collaborate with engineers across departments to bring cutting-edge propulsion and power systems to life. This is a fast-paced, high-ownership role in a growing company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of power electronics design experience.
• BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS/PhD preferred.
• Experience with PCB design software (Altium).
• Experience in motor controls and microgrids.
• Familiarity with wide bandgap semiconductors.
• Programming: Python, Simulink, MATLAB, or C.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test low/medium voltage power converters and inverters.
• Design and implement power converters for motor drives and microgrid applications.
