Job summary

Waséyabek Development Company, LLC is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer for our Batavia, IL site. This full-time role entails planning and engineering tasks within the Power Electronics Systems Department, including research, design, and development of projects in compliance with DOE orders.

The candidate will analyze data, develop component designs, and coordinate with teams to manage scope, budget, and schedules, including leadership in procurement and installation, with onsite requirements.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree with 6+ years' experience (or advanced degree with 4+ years).
• Knowledge of analog circuits, control theory, and programmable logic (FPGA/CPLD).
• Ability to lead projects and work as part of a team; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes data and performs engineering calculations.
• Develops designs for components and project phases.
• Prepares specifications and documents for complex designs.
• Plans medium to large projects from inception to completion.
• Leads procurement, manufacturing, installation, testing, and operation.
• Provides technical direction and mentors staff as assigned.
