Job summary

Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC (WFS) seeks a Power Electronics Engineer to join the Power Electronics Systems Department in Batavia, IL. This role plans and performs engineering tasks across research, design and development of medium to large projects in compliance with DOE orders.

You will lead design and testing efforts, coordinate manpower, and ensure conformance to cost, schedule and safety standards while delivering robust power conversion solutions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree with required years of experience.
• Knowledge of analog circuits, control theory and programmable logic.
• Ability to lead projects and work in a team environment.
• Familiarity with high voltage, magnetics and noise in systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes data and performs engineering calculations.
• Develops designs for components or project phases.
• Prepares specifications and documents for complex design solutions.
• Plans medium to large projects from inception to completion.
• Leads procurement, manufacturing, installation, and testing.
• Provides technical direction to junior staff and reviews work.
