Job summary

Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC in Batavia, IL seeks a Power Supply Senior Electrical Technician I to support the Power Supply Maintenance Group. Under general supervision, you will provide moderately complex technical support for an assigned area, typically an experimental or support group.

You will fabricate, test, diagnose, and maintain a range of electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment, and lead/mentor other technicians. This onsite role requires strong safety and ES&H practices.

Qualifications

• HS degree or technical certificate or equivalent.
• 7+ years related experience or up to 5+ years in a DOE lab environment.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and ES&H concepts.
• Ability to work on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates, sets-up, calibrates, operates, tests, repairs complex equipment.
• Acts as SME and leads in assigned area; assists in construction of equipment.
• Prepares test set-ups and diagnostic operations.
• Writes procedures and documents finished work.
• Maintains safety records and conducts hazard analyses.
• Mentors other technicians and may supervise shifts.
