Job summary
Accelevation seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the electrical design of high-current solid-state switching platforms powering mission-critical environments. You will lead schematic design for SCR/thyristor-based systems and drive protection strategies, thermal performance, and system-level reliability.
The role collaborates with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and compliance teams to deliver UL-certified power platforms and ensure safety, quality, and performance across the product
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 7+ years of hands-on industrial power electronics design.
- Experience with SCR/thyristor-based switching systems.
- Familiarity with UL/NEC for low-voltage equipment.
Responsibilities
- Own electrical design of high-current solid-state switching platforms.
- Create detailed power and control schematics for SCR/thyristor systems.
- Perform thermal analyses and SOA evaluations for modules.
- Review PCB layouts for high-current routing and EMC performance.
- Support UL certification efforts and cross-functional reviews.
- Lead testing and validation activities with firmware and mechanical teams.
