Job summary

Accelevation LLC seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to own and optimize electrical design for high-current solid-state switching platforms powering mission-critical environments.

You will lead schematic design, drive protection strategies, and perform thermal/SOA analyses while collaborating with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure UL-certified products reach market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• “7+ years of hands-on experience in industrial power electronics design.”
• “Deep expertise in SCR/thyristor-based solid-state switching systems.”
• “Experience with UL requirements and NEC guidelines for low-voltage power equipment.”
• “Proficiency with schematic design tools such as Altium Designer or OrCAD.”

Responsibilities

• Own electrical design of high-current solid-state switching platforms.
• Lead detailed schematic design for SCR/thyristor-based switching architectures.
• Design and optimize circuits including isolated gate drive, snubber networks, and dv/dt protection.
• Perform thermal analysis and SOA evaluations for high-power modules.
• Support UL certification efforts and compliance testing.
