Job summary

Archer is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design high voltage motor controllers for all-electric eVTOL aircraft. You will own the hardware lifecycle from concept through production, including EMI/EMC testing and system integration of power electronics modules.

The role requires deep expertise in inverter technology, wide-bandgap devices, and motor drive control, with hands-on experience in Altium or Xpedition and strong lab skills. Competitive salary and safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

Electrical engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
8+ years of electrical system and circuit board design experience.
Strong knowledge of power electronics including inverter tech and wide-bandgap devices.
Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high voltage, high power density motor controllers for eVTOL.
Own hardware from specification to prototype, validation and manufacturing.
Design and optimize passive components in power electronics systems.
Conduct EMC testing and analysis for power electronics systems.
Lead designs with multidisciplinary teams from concept to production.
Troubleshoot prototype issues and analyze test data for conformance.
