Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer in New Jersey to design switching power converters for aerospace and defense applications. This hands-on role includes ownership from early design through testing and production support.

You will develop schematics, perform thermal and reliability analyses, troubleshoot prototypes, and collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to bring designs into production. U.S. export control eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with power electronics or switching converters.
• Experience taking hardware through design, testing, and production.
• ECAD tools experience and regulated product development a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design switching power converters and evaluate circuit topologies, components, and performance tradeoffs.
• Develop schematics and perform circuit, thermal, and reliability analyses.
• Troubleshoot prototypes and production hardware, identify root causes, and implement design improvements.
• Partner with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to bring designs into production.
• Support design reviews, documentation, and product qualification activities.
