Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer in New Jersey to design switching power converters for aerospace and defense applications. This hands-on role includes ownership from early design through testing and production support.

You will develop schematics, perform thermal and reliability analyses, troubleshoot prototypes, and collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to bring designs into production. U.S. export control eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with power electronics or switching converters.
• Experience taking hardware through design, testing, and production.
• ECAD tools experience and regulated product development a plus.

What we’re looking for

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong, hands‑on experience designing power electronics or switching power converters.
• Experience taking hardware through design, testing, troubleshooting, and production.
• Ability to work across analog, digital, and power circuitry.
• Aerospace or defense experience is preferred, but engineers from other industries with relevant power conversion experience are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with ECAD tools and regulated product development is a plus.
