Job summary

MKS Instruments is seeking a research and development engineer to advance high-performance plasma power generation equipment used in semiconductor processing tools. You will report to the Head of R&D and contribute to design, simulation, and testing across analog, power, and control domains.

The role emphasizes hands‑on validation, documentation, and collaboration with purchasing, manufacturing engineering, and other teams. This is a growth‑oriented R&D position in a fast‑paced setting.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent with >5 years in power electronics.
• MSEE or equivalent with >3 years in power electronics.
• Strong writing and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance plasma power generation equipment.
• Work on impedance matching circuits and power electronics design.
• Validate product performance in real-world plasma environments.
• Design resonant tank circuits, RF inverters, and DC/DC converters.
• Assist testing with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and power meters.
