Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Principal Power Engineer to drive advanced electrical system design in San Jose, CA. You will develop plans, capture schematics, and validate high‑power architectures for complex products.

You will lead bring‑up, debugging, and manufacturing support while guiding a global team of engineers. You will review customer specifications, propose innovative improvements, and liaison with vendors and partners to ensure robust, high‑quality designs.

Qualifications

• 11+ years relevant work experience with 3+ in a leadership capacity.
• Expertise in high-density power modules and IVR/IVR-related concepts is a plus.
• Experience designing power systems for networking, compute, or storage products.

Responsibilities

• Lead schematic design, BOMs, power tree, drawings and cross‑functional reviews.
• Lead power bring‑up, debug, and manufacturing support.
• Provide technical leadership to a global engineering team.
• Analyze customer specs and act as primary customer contact when needed.
• Develop deployment strategies and lead project planning/scheduling.
