Tekgence Inc in Santa Clara is seeking a Sr. Power BI / Microsoft Fabric Developer to design and deliver enterprise BI solutions.

You will gather reporting requirements, build scalable semantic models, and develop high-impact dashboards and reports that translate complex data into clear, actionable insight. The ideal candidate combines expert-level Power BI and DAX skills with hands-on experience across Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, and is comfortable operating independently to deliver

Qualifications

Expert-level experience with Power BI Desktop and the Power BI service.
Advanced proficiency in DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, and report design.
Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, CTEs, and performance tuning.
Experience connecting Power BI to Databricks and Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse/Warehouse and Data Factory pipelines.

Responsibilities

Gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective dashboards and data visualizations.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power BI reports and semantic models.
Create efficient data models, relationships, calculations, and KPIs using DAX.
Use Power Query and SQL to transform and prepare data for reporting.
Integrate Power BI with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks data sources.
Optimize report, query, refresh, and semantic-model performance.
Document report logic, data sources, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with stakeholders and data teams to resolve data-quality issues.
