Job summary

The Planet Group in Greater Milwaukee, WI is seeking a detail-oriented Business Intelligence Specialist to bridge business needs, governed data engineering, and technical dashboard execution. You will support the end-to-end BI lifecycle—from stakeholder requirements intake and human-centered design to building, validating, and maintaining enterprise Power BI reporting solutions.

Responsibilities include designing and deploying Power BI dashboards and semantic models, validating data readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years in BI, analytics, data modeling, or dashboard engineering.
• Advanced Power BI skills (DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, report publishing).
• Experience with Google BigQuery and Looker; strong SQL querying/validation.
• Python and/or R for data manipulation and analytics; human-centered design approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead BI intake with stakeholders, define objectives, metrics, and human-centered design.
• Design and deploy enterprise Power BI dashboards, models, and visuals.
• Validate data readiness across BigQuery, Looker, and data warehouses with governance.
• Write SQL, Python or R for analytics logic and data manipulation.
• Monitor dashboard usage, optimize models, and ensure data accuracy.
