Job summary

State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) is seeking an experienced engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable analytics solutions that support investment decisions. The role focuses on BI reporting using Power BI, data modeling, and governance across multiple enterprise data sources.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of analytics solution experience, Azure cloud knowledge, and strong communication to translate business needs into technical insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 6+ years designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining analytical solutions.
• Advanced experience with Power BI.
• Strong data modeling, DAX, and SQL skills.
• Experience with Azure cloud and data governance practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with agency teams to develop reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
• Translate complex requirements into scalable reporting solutions.
• Design impactful Power BI reports and ensure accuracy and performance.
• Provide guidance on data modeling, architecture, and deployment standards.
• Promote best practices in data visualization, testing, and documentation.
• Support CI/CD processes and automate testing/validation.
