Job summary

Washington Health Benefit Exchange is seeking a Senior Power BI Engineer for Analysis Services to design and maintain data infrastructure for BI applications, reports, and dashboards. You will collaborate with teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and leverage Azure Analysis Services, Synapse Analytics, and Power BI for data access and insights.

The role emphasizes data modeling, reporting delivery, and scalable data workflows, with a focus on security, governance, and user enablement

Qualifications

• 5+ years with advanced Azure Analysis Service and PBI, advanced SQL
• 3+ years’ experience working with Azure Data Warehouse
• 3+ years in mentoring
• Experience with Data Warehouse requirements and design.
• Advanced knowledge and experience data mining large database systems and technical documentation
• Well organized, flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop tabular models and multidimensional models.
• Develop and manage AAS process.
• Write complex queries to retrieve large data.
• Analyze root causes and troubleshoot DW and reporting issues.
• Develop visual reports and dashboards with filters and drill-down capabilities.
• Build visualizations in Power BI to communicate data stories.
