Job summary

KBR is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to design, build, and govern enterprise BI solutions. You will work with stakeholders, DBAs, ETL developers, and data engineers to deliver scalable analytics and trusted data insights across the organization.

The role emphasizes advanced DAX, data modeling, and dashboard design, with responsibility for performance, security, and governance in Power BI environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field; equivalent combination may be considered.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power BI.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience supporting enterprise data warehouse and BI environments.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
• Experience deploying, supporting, and administering large-scale BI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and support enterprise BI solutions using Power BI, SSAS Tabular, SSRS, and related reporting technologies.
• Lead requirements gathering, solution architecture, design, estimation, development, testing and deployment.
• Design and govern enterprise semantic models with measures, hierarchies, calculations, KPIs, and Row-Level Security.
• Develop advanced DAX calculations and optimize data models, queries, and reports for performance.
• Create executive dashboards and interactive reports using Power BI best practices.
• Integrate data from enterprise data warehouses, Azure Data Lakes, and Power BI Dataflows.
• Support tenant-to-tenant Power BI migrations with governance and validation.
• Collaborate with DBAs, ETL, data engineers, and stakeholders to deliver BI solutions.
• Define BI strategy, architecture standards, governance frameworks and best practices.
• Architect and support enterprise data marts and SSAS Tabular models.
• Administer reporting environments, including configuration, security, patching, and user support.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production issues with root-cause analysis.
• Develop technical documentation and runbooks; lead QA activities and provide mentorship.
• Provide training and guidance to stakeholders to promote BI adoption and usage.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting capabilities, governance, and user experience.
