Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. is seeking a senior Power BI Developer III to lead the enterprise analytics strategy and governance.

You will own data modeling, semantic layers, and the move to Microsoft Fabric, while mentoring junior BI developers and collaborating with Data Engineering to deliver secure, scalable reporting solutions. Qualifications

• 5+ years of Power BI or business intelligence development experience.
• Advanced data modeling with star schema design and semantic layer architecture.
• Advanced proficiency with DAX and Power Query (M).
• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience and knowledge of Fabric architecture and data platform capabilities.
• Experience implementing Git-based source control and application lifecycle management for Power BI development.
• Microsoft Certified: Associate certification required.
• Strong communication and the ability to present technical concepts to stakeholders and leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience serving as a technical lead/mentor within BI environments preferred.
• Experience supporting governance, security, and enterprise data architecture decisions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own data modeling and semantic layer architecture across Power BI apps and reports.
• Lead the organization's transition to Microsoft Fabric, including design decisions and implementation strategies.
• Develop and maintain governance standards for Power BI and Fabric solutions.
• Evaluate reporting solutions to identify modernization opportunities for scalability and usability.
• Establish enterprise standards for report design, performance, and data consistency.
• Develop advanced DAX and Power Query (M) solutions for complex reporting needs.
• Manage row-level security, workspace governance, and access control across Power BI.
• Monitor report performance and implement reliability improvements.
• Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements of enterprise reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to align reporting with enterprise data architecture strategies.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
• Communicate recommendations and architecture decisions to leadership.
• Mentor Power BI Developer I and II; serve as escalation point for complex issues.
• Lead the implementation of Git-based source control and ALM practices.
• Maintain governance and architecture documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytics capabilities.
