Job summary

Ness Digital Engineering seeks a Senior Power BI Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise BI solutions using Power BI and MicroStrategy. The role focuses on semantic modeling, SQL performance, and scalable data analytics to empower data-driven decisions.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you will own end-to-end BI delivery, collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver production-grade analytics from requirements through deployment in New Jersey.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
7+ years of BI development experience.
5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
Experience supporting MicroStrategy (Strategy).
Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and semantic modeling.
Expert-level SQL development and optimization.
Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Databricks, SQL Server, or other enterprise databases.
Experience implementing RLS, deployment pipelines, and Power BI governance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise dashboards, reports, and analytics using Power BI.
Support and maintain existing MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and metadata objects.
Develop interactive visualizations to enable informed business decisions.
Build reusable semantic models, datasets, and reporting components.
Translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions.
Participate in the full SDLC from requirements to production support.
