Job summary

Visionaire Partners is seeking a Lead Power BI Engineer to own the enterprise semantic models and contribute to Snowflake warehouse development. This contract-to-perm, fully remote role options US-only and requires fluency with Claude Code for AI-assisted BI work.

The role emphasizes DAX, Power Query, and Kimball modeling with governance of RLS and workspace assets, while mentoring colleagues in BI best practices and AI-driven workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in BI with 3+ years in Power BI semantic modeling (beyond report building).
• Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and TMDL/Model.bim.
• Hands-on experience with dimensional modeling in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Experience with Kimball methodology across warehouse and semantic layers.
• Daily experience with Claude Code (or similar CLI coding agent) in a multi-repo harness.

Responsibilities

• Semantic Model Maintenance: Own enterprise Power BI semantic models, including DAX measures, relationships, RLS, and workspace governance.
• Snowflake Data Warehouse: Extend GOLD-layer facts and dimensions using Kimball dimensional modeling principles.
• AI-Assisted Workflows: Use Claude Code as the primary development environment and review AI-generated output before deployment.
