Job summary

Susquehanna International Group (SIG) seeks a Postgres Database Administrator to ensure stability and scalability of our enterprise database platform.

The role focuses on installing, configuring, and tuning PostgreSQL and MariaDB environments, collaborating with software engineers and system teams to optimize performance and reliability. You’ll also contribute to automation and continuous learning in a high-transaction trading context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
• 5+ years of PostgreSQL experience required.
• 2+ years of MariaDB experience required.
• Strong relational database knowledge, troubleshooting, and performance tuning expected.
• Thorough understanding of Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience with database backup and recovery concepts.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Percona.
• Knowledge of high availability architectures.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline daily tasks and workflows.
