Job summary

Susquehanna International Group seeks a PostgreSQL Database Administrator in Kentucky to install, configure, and update an enterprise database platform, ensuring stability and scalability across multiple instances in a high-transaction trading environment.

You will collaborate with DBAs, developers, and systems engineers, optimize backups, implement HA architectures, and automate daily tasks using scripting and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of PostgreSQL experience.
• 2+ years of MariaDB experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Experience with Linux and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools like Percona.
• Understanding of high availability architectures.
• Familiarity with AI tools to streamline daily tasks.

Susquehanna is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team! This role offers the opportunity to leverage your current knowledge of relational database expertise to ensure stability and scalability of our enterprise database platform. You will not only focus on installing, configuring, and updating our growing environment of instances, but will also ensure that current and future instances are optimized to meet the needs of our evolving business.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline required
• 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL required
• 2+ years of experience with MariaDB required
• Strong relational database knowledge, troubleshooting, and performance tuning required
• Thorough understanding of the Linux operating system and Linux shell scripting required
• Thorough understanding of database backup and recovery concepts required
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Percona
• Knowledge of high availability architectures
• Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline daily tasks and workflows.
