Job summary

The Dignify Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced PostgreSQL DBA for its Jersey City, NJ operations. The role requires deep expertise in administering PostgreSQL databases, performance tuning, backup/restore, security access control, and schema design.

Candidates with Elasticsearch are not required, but candidates with EDB tools and migration experience are welcomed. Ideal applicants have 10+ years in DBAs, 4+ years on PostgreSQL, and a PostgreSQL certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of overall experience
• Min 4 years as a PostgreSQL DBA
• Experience in administering PostgreSQL databases
• Working experience using PostgreSQL ver. 16 and higher
• Experience with Database and SQL Tuning using PostgreSQL
• PostgreSQL backup and restore
• Designing and managing PostgreSQL database schemas
• Proficient in SQL and advanced SQL
• Experience in security access control
• Certification in PostgreSQL is must
• Experience with PGD is preferred
• Experience with MongoDB is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Azure - Nice to have
• Experience with other databases Like Oracle - Nice to have
• At least 3+ years of hands-on EDB administration with experience in below:
• Search Path
• EPAS Advanced Database administration
• VACUUM Full or 3 rd party tools
• pgbouncer, pgpool
• EFM and streaming replication
• Logical replication
• PEM for monitoring
• MTK for migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL
