Job summary

Peregrine Advisors is seeking a seasoned database architect to own the database layer for a federal-scale enterprise data platform. You will shape physical design, tuning, and data models across Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, and Apache Iceberg tables on S3, with strong emphasis on performance and auditability.

The role requires deep experience with large, high-volume data systems and a commitment to ownership in a hybrid work setting based in the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• Extensive database design and tuning for high-volume platforms.
• Experience with Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Iceberg-backed lake details.

Responsibilities

• Own the database layer including physical design and performance.
• Implement schema migrations and access controls.
• Optimize large datasets and ensure auditability in a regulated environment.
