Job summary

Peregrine Advisors is seeking a database developer to design and maintain queries, procedures, and views on Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL-compatible). You will work with DynamoDB, S3, and Iceberg tables to turn raw data into usable insights.

You should have 4+ years of database development experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong skills in data loading, connectivity, and query tuning. This is a hybrid role based in the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• Solid SQL on a modern relational platform (Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL-compatible).
• Experience writing stored procedures and views that scale.
• Data loading (S3 into platform stores) and native connectivity (ODBC/JDBC).
• Ability to tune queries and maintain governed access.

Responsibilities

• Build reliable SQL, stored procedures, and views on Amazon Aurora.
• Handle data loading into the platform stores and ensure connectivity.
• Tune queries and optimize performance under governed access.
• Grow toward owning physical design of the data stores.
