Job summary

Boston University is seeking a Senior Managing Post Award Officer to oversee financial and reporting duties for a portfolio of sponsored projects within the research community. This role offers a high level of autonomy and requires independent problem-solving to complete all duties related to the portfolio.

The SMPAO will maintain advanced knowledge of sponsor requirements and university policies, communicate them effectively, and provide excellent service to faculty and sponsors.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of related post-award experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; direct experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Strong knowledge of federal and non-federal sponsor requirements and university policies.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve cost transfers.
• Prepare financial reporting and award closeout activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to faculty, administrators, peers, and sponsors.
