Job summary

Jobtailor in Rhode Island seeks an experienced POS Program Manager to own the centralized intake for POS project requests across staffed front store, pharmacy lanes, self-checkout, and drive-thru. You will establish standards, templates, and SLAs while coordinating cross-functional teams.

You will prioritize work based on customer value and ROI, prepare executive options, and lead governance forums to ensure timely, transparent decision-making and successful rollout communications.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of strategic planning, operations, and portfolio management experience.
• Bachelor degree required.
• Retail and/or Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Ability to evaluate POS requests for feasibility, effort, dependencies, and technical fit.
• Experience with prioritization frameworks, roadmaps, executive decision support, and cross-functional coordination.
• Ability to use transaction performance, defect and incident trends, field feedback, and value-versus-effort analysis.
• Ability to develop field- and store-facing rollout communications.
• Ability to facilitate governance forums and manage intake-to-launch processes.

Responsibilities

• Own centralized intake for all POS project requests across staffed front store and pharmacy lanes, self-checkout, pharmacy check-in, and drive thru.
• Establish request standards, templates, service levels, tracking, categorization, and status visibility.
• Partner with DDAT to assess technical feasibility, level of effort, dependencies, and architectural fit.
• Build and maintain a transparent, criteria-based POS roadmap.
• Rank work by customer value, financial return, risk reduction, and operational need.
• Prepare executive materials presenting options, trade-offs, cost, benefit, and risk.
• Facilitate prioritization and roadmap governance forums.
• Re-prioritize roadmap work as business, compliance, and technical needs change.
• Track delivered outcomes and improve the prioritization framework.
• Lead field- and store-facing communications for POS rollouts and new features.
• Coordinate Store Operations, Pharmacy Growth, Merchandising, Field, Training, DDAT, Finance, Compliance, and vendor partners.
• Sequence launches, manage dependencies, facilitate working sessions, document decisions, and track follow-up actions.
