Job summary

Manulife in Boston seeks an AVP for Investment Portfolio Oversight and Strategy Reporting to govern, measure, and report on a US segment portfolio. You will provide independent, objective insights to senior leadership and oversee executive and board-level reporting and strategy materials.

You will lead a team, modernize reporting with AI-enabled analytics, and ensure a clear single source of truth across investments, timelines and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or related quantitative discipline; MBA or professional designation is a plus.
• 12+ years in strategy, portfolio management, governance, transformation or management consulting.
• 5+ years of people leadership building high-performing analytical teams.
• Experience presenting at executive/board level with recurring reporting in public or regulated environments.
• Strong financial acumen and executive communication; distill complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own investment governance framework for strategic and transformation investments.
• Maintain single view of portfolio; provide independent oversight of health across scope, financials, timeline, resourcing, risk and value.
• Lead portfolio performance reporting, surfacing trends and recommended actions for leadership decisions.
• Provide analytic basis for prioritization; model scenarios and funding visibility with Finance.
• Design and lead benefits-realization framework with measurable outcomes.
• Identify portfolio risks and roadblocks; present options to decision-makers.
• Oversee strategy reporting calendar and executive/board content accuracy.
• Modernize reporting with automation, AI-enabled analytics and standardized tools.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team with objectivity and inclusion.
