Job summary

Manulife Financial Corporation seeks an AVP for Investment Portfolio Oversight & Strategy Reporting in Boston. You will govern strategic investments, drive independent portfolio health insights, and deliver executive and board-ready reports with clarity and impact.

You will lead a team, modernize reporting with AI-enabled analytics, and coordinate with Finance to prioritise investments and track outcomes. This role blends governance, analytics and leadership in a complex financial services

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or related quantitative field; MBA is an asset.
12+ years in strategy, portfolio management, investment governance, transformation, corporate finance or mgmt consulting.
5+ years of people leadership building high‑performing analytical/advisory teams.
Experience presenting executive- and board-level reporting in public or regulated environments.
Strong financial acumen and ability to distill complexity for leaders.
Experience in financial services; advanced analytics and data visualization skills (Power BI, AI Tools) are assets.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve the investment governance framework for strategic investments.
Maintain a single, trusted view of the investment portfolio and health.
Lead portfolio performance reporting with insights, trends and actions.
Provide analytical foundation for prioritization with scenario modelling and funding visibility.
Design and lead benefits-realization with measurable baselines and validation.
Identify portfolio risks and present options to decision-makers.
Oversee strategy reporting calendar and executive/board content accuracy.
Modernize reporting with automation and AI-enabled analytics.
Develop a high-performing, objective and inclusive team.
