Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, seeks an experienced Staff Program Manager for a 6‑month contract in California with a hybrid schedule (San Diego or San Mateo). You will drive portfolio planning, execution, and cross‑functional coordination with Product, Engineering, Finance, PMO, and executives.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in program/portfolio management, a proven track record leading complex cross‑functional initiatives, and excellence in communication, risk and dependency management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Program Management, Portfolio Management, or related fields.
• Proven success leading cross-functional programs in large, matrixed organizations.
• Advanced expertise in portfolio planning, integrated program planning, and milestones.
• Strong skills in dependency and risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Finance, and PMO leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio planning activities, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Coordinate planning with Product, Engineering, Finance, PMO, and executives.
• Maintain integrated project plans, trackers, and planning docs.
• Monitor milestones and identify risks, gaps, or issues requiring escalation.
• Prepare materials for leadership reviews and track follow-up actions.
• Execute portfolio processes, governance, and status reporting.
• Communicate portfolio health, milestones, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
• Identify cross-program dependencies and align teams for delivery.
• Support governance with inputs, documentation, and decision tracking.
• Coordinate complex initiatives with clearly defined workstreams and owners.
