Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Portfolio Manager III to oversee a dealer portfolio across Northwestern Ohio and Detroit South. You will manage lines of credit from $50,000 to $2.5M, build client relationships, and optimize credit use while mitigating pre-default risk and supporting post-default collections.

The role requires extensive travel (75%), strong financial analysis, and the ability to work remotely while residing in the assigned territory.

Qualifications

Knowledge of the automotive industry and finance sector.
Ability to read and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, tax returns).
Strong financial acumen with option to identify risk indicators.
Proficient in client communication and relationship management.
Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a remote environment.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

Must permanently live in assigned territory. Center of the market is Northwestern Ohio - Toledo.
Optimize each client’s use of the line of credit (50k to 2.5M) as floor plan SME.
Achieve goals by engaging with clients in person or virtually to drive revenue and profitability.
Educate clients on performance behaviors and best practices, ensure policy compliance.
Collect and analyze client financial data and dashboards to monitor dealer performance and growth.
Identify targets for growth and determine clients in financial distress.
Collaborate with Risk and Recovery on pre-default and post-default efforts.
Ensure inventory accuracy and quality control through audits and inspections.
Maintain fiduciary responsibility and report non-compliance or fraud.
