Job summary

b1BANK seeks a Portfolio Manager III to lead financial analyses, underwrite corporate credit requests, and monitor risk across a portfolio of clients. This role guides lenders, structures transactions, and ensures compliant credit documentation and reporting.

You will gather financial data, model performance, and present findings to clients and internal stakeholders, maintaining asset quality and data integrity across the bank’s systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field is required.
• MBA preferred.
• 7–10 years of commercial underwriting experience.
• 3–5 years of C&I underwriting experience.
• Demonstrated competence in financial analysis and modeling.
• Strong research, data gathering and concise synthesis of information.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze financial data for clients and prospects, including financial spreads and ratios.
• Model future financial performance, including downside scenarios.
• Lead structuring discussions with lenders and act as a financial advisor to clients.
• Prepare comprehensive underwriting documents identifying risks and mitigants.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and monitor covenant compliance across portfolios.
• Maintain and verify legal documentation to reflect approvals.
• Manage approvals for complex lending commitments and amendments.
• Establish and maintain direct client relationships and identify new opportunities.
