Job summary

AQR Capital Management is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Portfolio Implementation to lead the design and delivery of mission-critical investment systems. You will collaborate with researchers, portfolio managers, and engineering peers to translate research into robust, production-ready software at scale.

You’ll own microservice-based architectures, mentor small teams, drive technical direction, and ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Java and production-grade Python.
• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven ability to own microservice-based architectures across multiple services.
• Strong engineering practices: testing, documentation, code reviews, and metrics-driven improvements.
