Job summary

Natera is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our provider-facing web portal. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining microservices and the portal UI using NodeJS, TypeScript, and React.

You will work with product managers and designers to deliver scalable, compliant solutions that handle PHI data in a secure environment. The role requires experience with AWS services, GraphQL/REST APIs, and a microservices architecture, along with a strong test-driven development mindset

Qualifications

BS degree in computer science or equivalent.
6+ years of software development experience with NodeJS, TypeScript, React.
Experience with front-end development and SDLC processes.
Strong knowledge of TDD/DDD and microservice architecture.
Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, etc.).
Experience with GraphQL and REST API design and event-driven architecture.
Experience with micro-service enterprise architecture and cross‑platform integration.
Strong relational DB design/SQL skills.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Participate in design and implementation decisions with product managers and designers.
Collaborate with stakeholders from ideation to release and maintenance.
Design, build, and maintain highly available systems for providers, users, and patients.
Conduct code reviews and mentor the team on best practices.
Improve processes and evangelize best practices across teams.
Support QA activities with QA engineering teams.
Contribute to compliance initiatives and PHI/privacy training compliance.
