Young Brothers LLC is seeking a Port Engineer to direct the operational readiness, maintenance, and compliance of an eight-vessel tug fleet valued over $100M. You will manage the engineering staff, oversee budgets, and enforce safety culture across vessels and shore operations.

The role requires leading regulatory inspections and coordinating dry-docks and surveys with internal teams and regulators.

Qualifications

• High school education is desirable; maritime academy or college degree preferred.
• 3-5 years as a tugboat engineer or shoreside management experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid USCG engineer’s license or Designated Duty Engineer (DDE) license.

Responsabilités

• Directs maintenance programs and reviews planned maintenance for the tug fleet.
• Oversees safety policies and enforces safe work practices for vessel crews.
• Leads budgeting, capital expenditure planning, and maintenance spending for the fleet.
• Interfaces with operations and regulatory bodies for inspections and surveys (USCG, ABS).
• Supervises engineers and shoreside staff, including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
