Job summary

Fortis Native Group seeks a full-time Swimming Pool Operator to oversee Naval Base San Diego pool operations. You will inspect, install, and repair plumbing and fixtures, and maintain pool chemistry and safety standards.

Requires 5+ years aquatic management experience, CPO certification, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Valid license and English proficiency are mandatory; position emphasizes on-site work and compliance with health codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-year experience in Aquatic Management and Pool Operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Pool Operator Certification, in compliance to Local Health Codes.
• Working knowledge of pool water chemistry and saltwater chlorinator systems.
• Basic knowledge of pool equipment installation, troubleshooting, and overhaul.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Stoop, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work with power and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect plumbing structures to prevent obstructions and weakening.
• Install, repair pipes, fittings, and valves as per specs.
• Maintain pool water chemistry and monitor logs and checklists.
• Perform daily maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of pools.
• Inspect pools for safety, compliance, and operational standards.
• Respond to emergencies and report malfunctions to supervisors.
