Job summary

Fortis Native Group seeks a full-time Swimming Pool Operator to ensure proper operation of pools on a Naval Base San Diego contract. Responsibilities include inspection, installation and repair of plumbing and pool systems, plus daily maintenance and safety checks.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years in aquatic management, a valid driver’s license, and a Certified Pool Operator certification. Knowledge of pool chemistry and tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of aquatic management or facilities experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Pool Operator Certification.
• Working knowledge of pool water chemistry and saltwater systems.
• Basic knowledge of swimming pool equipment, installation, troubleshooting, and overhaul.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work on stairs and uneven surfaces.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structures and prevent obstructions or weakening from plumbing.
• Install, repair, and test pipes, valves, and fixtures.
• Maintain pool water chemistry and related systems.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly pool maintenance and logs.
• Inspect safety and operational standards and report emergencies.
