Job summary

McClanes Childrens in Temple, TX is seeking a Polysomnography Tech 2 for PRN night shifts. The role coordinates sleep lab operations, ensures quality and safety, and supports physicians with patient results.

The position emphasizes staff training, device maintenance, and adherence to lab policies. Certification in polysomnography and CPR/BLS is required, with two years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of work experience in polysomnography.
• 2 years of polysomnography experience in a clinical setting.
• Must hold POLYTECH certification and BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnographic studies in a clinical setting, including oxygen and nasal CPAP titrations.
• Score studies and generate reports for physician interpretation.
• Document pertinent patient events in accordance with department policy.
• Explain instructions and results to patients, physicians, and family members.
• Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on equipment; troubleshoot issues and contact manufacturers as needed.
• Notify staff of equipment problems and maintain infection control standards.
• Collaborate with Medical Director regarding patient studies.
