Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program beyond high school.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in a polysomnographic technician role.
• BLS, RPSGT/RS T or RRT-SDS certifications or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Apply monitoring electrodes and fit PAP masks; educate patients on the process.
• Conduct sleep studies and document baseline values.
• Score sleep/wake stages and generate event reports.
• Provide CPAP/BIPAP and oxygen interventions as needed.
• Perform SV titrations, AVAPS, MSLT, MWT testing.
• Set up home sleep tests and ensure data quality during studies.
• Verify data integrity and guide patients completing questionnaires.
• Set up video/audio monitoring and maintain equipment.
• Serve as a resource and preceptor for staff across sites.
