Job summary

Cresilon, a Brooklyn-based biotech and medical device innovator, seeks an experienced R&D Manager/Principal Scientist in polymer formulation. You will lead a small team, drive formulation strategies, and ensure robust documentation for regulatory filings.

The role blends hands-on lab work with strategic leadership. Ideal candidates have a strong materials science background, 10+ years in polymer biomaterials, and proven product development from concept to regulatory approval in a high‑regulation

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in a relevant science or engineering field.
• Minimum 10 years of research in polymeric materials/biomaterials with at least 5 years in industry.
• Minimum 2 years of direct management experience.
• Strong ability to design experiments and interpret data using quality methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation development teams across parallel product opportunities to launch new products.
• Provide scientific leadership, coaching, and planning for team activities.
• Design and execute experiments focused on polymer materials and their properties.
• Oversee design control changes with documentation and analyses.
• Lead regulatory documentation efforts for submissions (e.g., 510(k), IDE).
• Support technology transfer to manufacturing and collaborate with business development.
