Accelera is seeking a Polymer Extrusion Technician to manage extrusion machinery and drive high-quality plastic component production. You will set up equipment, optimize processes, and troubleshoot to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

This role requires hands-on mechanical skills, the ability to read technical drawings, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varied temperatures. Prior plastic extrusion experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and machine operation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and complex manufacturing documentation.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied industrial temperature conditions.

Responsibilities

• Configure and calibrate extrusion dies, temperatures, and line speeds to achieve precise product specifications.
• Manage the end-to-end material feeding process, ensuring throughput and minimal waste.
• Perform proactive mechanical maintenance and component replacement to maximize uptime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test new production lines and refine workflows.
• Maintain a high-standard work environment by managing regrind processes and ensuring safety protocols.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues in real-time to maintain product consistency and safety.
