Job summary

Americans for Prosperity seeks a senior, high-impact Political Scout Manager to lead political recruitment and strategy across federal and state offices. You will work with senior state leadership, internal stakeholders, and notable political figures to shape candidate pipelines and strategic campaigns.

You will mentor future leaders through AFP’s Candidate School, cultivate major relationships, and ensure alignment with Stand Together’s principled, transformative culture while traveling

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience leading political recruitment and/or campaign work at federal level.
• Executive presence to build relationships with policy leaders and candidates.
• Deep understanding of regional political landscapes and electoral opportunities.
• Extensive network of policy champions and influencers.
• Willingness to travel ~30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Recruit top-tier candidates for federal and state offices to advance AFP’s policy goals.
• Shape regional political strategy with AFP state staff and community leaders.
• Advise senior state leadership as they design candidate recruitment strategies.
• Build high-level relationships with aligned prospective candidates and influencers.
• Champion the mission by connecting candidates and stakeholders to AFP’s vision.
• Lead AFP’s Candidate School to prepare future political leaders.
