Job summary

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) seeks a Director of Grassroots Operations to lead statewide grassroots efforts and optimize field capabilities. This senior role drives talent development, campaign execution, and data-driven targeting across events, canvassing, and advocacy.

You will oversee the full employee lifecycle, from hiring to development, while partnering across policy, strategy, and coalition teams. A strong leadership track record and CRM experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising large, multi-layered teams and developing talent.
• Proven ability to design and execute grassroots campaigns and events.
• Strong understanding of electoral/public policy landscapes and local dynamics.
• Comfort with data systems, reporting tools, and performance tracking.
• Experience with CRM/voter management systems (e.g., i360) and field analytics.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute statewide grassroots strategies to advance policy goals.
• Lead and coach a multi-layered grassroots team across events and outreach.
• Develop a pipeline for hiring and onboarding grassroots staff.
• Own the data strategy for grassroots execution and targeting.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and partners to align efforts.
• Manage full field employee lifecycle including onboarding and offboarding.
• Oversee adoption of internal knowledge systems and tools.
