Job summary

The Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, DC, seeks a senior associate to advance its broadband research agenda and produce impactful papers. You will review materials, support outreach, and present findings while coordinating external contracts to align with project goals.

The role operates in Pew’s hybrid model with core in-office days and telecommuting on other days, plus four telework flex weeks annually; occasional domestic travel is required.

Qualifications

• Experience synthesizing and summarizing large amounts of information.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to write quickly and revise.
• Non-partisan, evidence-based approach for policy research.
• Ability to develop and manage collaborative relationships.
• Strategic and creative thinking with multi-tasking capability.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 4+ years of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Foster an excellence-driven, diverse and collaborative work environment.
• Provide research, analysis, and writing support for research projects.
• Participate in the full publication lifecycle, including proposing and authoring materials.
• Summarize state legislative and industry trends into actionable insights.
• Contribute to quality control of research findings and data sources.
• Monitor grant agreements and coordinate with grantees on methodology.
• Develop expertise on universal broadband access and digital equity.
• Support program and Pew-wide objectives.
