Job summary

Texas Farm Bureau Business Corporation, Government Affairs, seeks a senior leader to guide policy and legislative strategy at state and federal level. You will set direction for the division and align activities with Farm Bureau priorities, ensuring engagement with members and policymakers.

You will lead development of strategies, coordinate testimony and briefings, and build relationships with elected officials, agencies, and farming groups.

Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership in government affairs or public policy roles.
Experience developing and executing legislative strategies.
Strong understanding of Texas agriculture policy and regulatory processes.
Excellent oral and written communication with policymakers.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-changing political environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and provide strategic direction for the Government Affairs Division to support Farm Bureau policy and member interests.
Develop and oversee state and federal legislative and regulatory strategies.
Represent the Farm Bureau on policy matters before state and federal branches and agencies.
Advise the Board and executive leadership on legislative and public policy issues.
Direct efforts to pass measures aligned with Farm Bureau policy and oppose contrary measures.
