Job summary

Office of Legal Policy (OLP) in Washington, DC seeks an experienced attorney to serve as Counsel or Senior Counsel to assist with a wide range of legal issues related to the Department's policy work. The role requires collaboration with Department components and other Executive Branch agencies on policy, legislation, and regulatory matters.

The jobholder may conduct internal inquiries, review documents, and write reports on findings to support updates to policies and procedures, including work

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active bar membership required.
• At least two years of post-JD legal experience.
• Strong research and writing skills; ability to communicate complex policy clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a wide range of legal issues related to policy work.
