Job summary

MIT Washington DC Office is seeking a Senior Advisor for Science and Innovation Policy Advocacy to represent MIT’s federal policy interests before Congress, federal agencies, the White House, and the Washington advocacy community.

You will advise MIT’s policy and government affairs leadership as well as academic and administrative departments on policies that impact research and training, including biotechnology, funding, immigration, and IP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in government relations or Congress.
• Demonstrated expertise in science, research, higher education or technology policy.
• Ability to advise senior leadership and communicate complex policy.

Responsibilities

• Advocate MIT's policy interests before Congress, federal agencies, and the White House.
• Advise leadership and departments on federal policies affecting research and training.
• Represent MIT in science policy coalitions and provide policy briefings.
