Job summary

HQ USAF and Support Elements seeks a Program Specialist to serve as the principal advisor to senior Air Force leadership on Total Force and DoW-wide military compensation policy, ensuring compliance with requirements and alignment with customer needs.

The role supports policy development, budgeting and execution, leads cross-agency groups, and manages special projects. Telework is eligible; the position pays $169,279–$197,200 per year and closes 2026-10-16 for Fed Transition applicants.

Responsibilities

• Advises on the development and management of policy, budgeting, and execution of Total Force military compensation programs.
• Leads working groups, task forces, or ad hoc groups to develop DoW and Air Force compensation initiatives.
• Prepares and provides executive oversight of special studies, audits, and related projects.
• Serves as principal advisor to senior Air Force leadership on policy and regulatory compliance for compensation programs.
