Massachusetts Department of State Police is seeking a Motor Equipment Mechanic III for the Holden Fleet Section. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing state police cruisers and equipment, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.

You will perform tests, maintain safety standards, and prepare reports for the Fleet Administrator. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of automotive repair experience (with supervisory exposure) and hold MA Class B and Class C (or hoisting)

Competenze

Minimum entrance requirements include three years of full-time or equivalent part-time automotive repair experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
Certificate/diploma in automotive shop practice may substitute for one year of required experience.
Current and valid Massachusetts Class B Motor Vehicle Operator's License is required.
Current and valid Massachusetts Class C or hoisting license is required.

Mansioni

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair State Police cruisers and other vehicles and equipment.
Road test vehicles to determine necessary repairs.
Diagnose issues in engines, electrical and mechanical systems and perform repairs.
Inspect and service vehicle braking, steering, tires, and alignments.
Maintain logs and prepare damage reports for Fleet administrators.
